New Feature Alert: Layouter Slides

nice idea, we’ve captured the suggestion

@lironm

  1. Whenever I’m trying to edit text within the slide, the Text Toolbox drift out of the screen. How can I drag it back to the screen?

  2. When I click the right arrow, the slider just bounces back and forth from left to right. How can I make sure it scrolls smoothly?

Thanks!

Great feature!

Some improvement requests:

  1. Would be good if we could set it to slide automatically. Set a timer, choose a fade option and then have it slide automatically like the slideshow in classic editor.
  2. Make it possible to change slide via code (Velo).

Thanks!

1 is a feature request at the moment. https://support.wix.com/en/article/editor-x-request-adding-slideshows
2 @andrewt brought up a workaround here .

Thanks for this great improvement
I agree With Jul 25, all the sliders features should be implemented to the repeater tool (or the opposite, be able to add a repeater in the slider)
:grinning:

Perfect, just what I was looking

Great feature but I’ve added it to a repeater and the buttons don’t seem to work.
Is it possible to move the slides using code?

repeater and layouter are distinctive features, so the layout could not match
along with this you can use Pro Gallery with Data connection:

Hi everyone, since we’re waiting for scroll snap feature for sections, I’ve watched this video from Vicky Borges from Wix team, explaining scroll snap effect using a Layouter. Unfortunately I couldn’t do the same as Vicky because the layouter feature has been updated and couldn’t find the same layouter options showing in the video. Am I missing something? Thanks for your help in advance!

Hey @birabanor ,

The layout panel can be accessed in the toolbar to change the layout. The rest of the settings can be changed in the inspector panel .

I have a video example here.

Hi Roberto, thank you for your prompt reply. I’ve attached a shot of my inspector panel’s display settings. The scroll snap align option does not appear when “Rows” is selected as the display type. The “Scroll snap align” setting can only be reached when the display type is a slider. I need vertical snap align, just like the tutorial video I mentioned earlier. I simply need to apply scroll snap to my 100vh vertical sections / layout items. From the UX perspective, I’d like to make users see the next 100vh full page as they scroll. Can you suggest me another solution?

You should be able to use the same setup as Vicky’s tutorial as the only change is where the settings have been moved to. The rows layout doesn’t include the scroll snap as the layout doesn’t scroll each item.

Hey Dom,
Yes, you can add this functionality using code: https://www.editorxcommunity.com/forum/general-discussions/add-navigation-buttons-to-repeater-or-layouter-slider-mode

You can do it using Velo code: https://www.editorxcommunity.com/forum/general-discussions/add-navigation-buttons-to-repeater-or-layouter-slider-mode

Hey Fikret,
The slider option can also work vertically - just change the direction from ‘Right to Left’ to ‘Top to Bottom’ and set the scroll snap.

You can also do it with regular sections and code. Try this tutorial to learn how: Full Screen Sections Scroll Snap | Editor X - YouTube
