I keep trying to find ways to achieve things that were easily done with stripes in the old editor and so far I really struggle in the new editor x.
Let me explain:
Case 1: - Having a transparent header overlapping a stripe. Currently I only managed to move up a photo or a video to get that result but then, it becomes a mess when resizing for different screens. Instead, if we could simply fill the section with the picture and then move that would be amazing and really simple.
Case 2: - In old stripes we were able to have effects in our images like reveal or parallax. Seem that’s gone (for now at least). But without stripes how can we achieve the same effects?
Case 3: - In the old wix I had a transparent header becoming white when scrolling down. I had a transparent stripe marking the point where 1 header-stripe hides and the 2nd revealed. Now, there is no way of doing this or I really can’t find it.
Case 4: - Having 2 (or more) stripes overlapping. The ability wit had in the old editor to simple move up or down a strip was really useful. Also the fact we could have it expanded or not was really good too. Now sections are “fixed” but most of all we can’t move them (see above case 1)
I’m sure there are many more examples but my point is I believe having the stripes system in the new editor will be really great for designing purposes.
On a side note, it seems we can’t design a lightbox. Is it me doing something wrong? When I add one then I can’t add text or images or anything in it.
