How can I keep the box with a text field scrollable and keep it responsive?

What are you trying to achieve:
I want the container to keep 50% of the height and scale proportionally so that it remains responsive in all devices, but the text comes from a database and is of different lengths and should remain scrollable.
What have you already tried:
It only works when behavior is set to mixed, but of course the height doesn’t change then.
