When you look at overlapping items in the properties, you see the list of element types like ‘container’, ‘image’, ‘image’. There is a small preview, but it is not meaning full. Why not do ‘container - #contId’, ‘image - #imgStep1’ and so on, so add the element id’s then you know what you are selecting.
