Hello Forum,
I am currently at a standstill trying to display filtered database results using pagination. I have a collection of organisation names, their home country, and their city. I have set up dropdown options and a text box so that users can tailor the repeater’s displayed search results.
I’ve overcome several hurdles at this point including:
- auto-populating dropdown options with unique entries in my collection
- added the debounce feature to the text box filter
- added pagination to limit the load time for users
The problem:
Using a small trial set of data without pagination, I have been able filter repeater results with the dropdown menus and text box option without issue. However, after adding pagination, I cannot seem to filter the displayed repeater results.
I have read that others have had this same issue, and I’m trying to figure out whether there is a way to:
-
make filtering possible with pagination. I saw an example where somebody added a “filter” button that when clicked, would generate a new dataset that the repeater would reference, however I don’t really understand it or whether it is the right solution for me.
-
display filtered results with out pagination.
-
work around this issue in a way I haven’t figured out yet.
Thank you in advance for you suggestions on resources, examples, and solutions.
