Pinned sidebar in wix studio

Why can’t I create a pinned sidebar in wix studio? this was successful in the old editor x application. Why remove an important feature?

I have no idea why wix does this, and they’re gonna tell you to make a feature request and ask you why you need it… because we had it in editor x and you’re replacing editor x :man_facepalming:t4:. I’ve been asking about this also and it doesn’t look like they will be adding the feature before we’re moved over to studio. Just a workaround.

They treat us like children or lab rats sometimes.

Yep, and the product seems to be unfinished anyway.

If my client wants the icons for the buttons, I answer: “yes, it works”, but when the client wants the icons for the menu, it doesn’t work, and the client wonders "why? you just added the icons to the buttons"

I thought that wix studio would be the place where you could be creative. but the system prevents it. you can again only make sites with a traditional menu and footer, “wow!”

When I last tried it ( a few weeks ago) I couldn’t even pin the cart using PIN TO ALL PAGES like I can with Wix Editor. Absolutely crazy how Wix can release new products such as Studio without basic functionality!!

Hi, I also hope that wix will fix these soon

There is always a way. Not the best solution but works.
Just threw this together to see if it works as I was doing this on an editor x site but looking to re-do on Studio.
Needs a tidy up with alignments to use.

Hi, it works well, you are clever. how did you lock it? did you implement this with lightbox? Did you get the scrolling working inside the sidebar?

cant get the scroll to work. Will look into it more when I have time. Tried a few ways to lock it.

  1. pinned container to page
  2. docked container to side and set heights

Ok, thanks to you, I’ll try this.
It’s a shame if the roller can’t work
