POS doesn't make sense

Can someone explain the point of this POS system? Doesn’t allow refunds, not possible to sell membership plans, packages, or collect tax or edit payment totals? This makes absolutely NO sense. Why would Wix create this and not allow obvious features that most customers would need. This is mind blowing and backwards to me. I run a yoga studio and all I sell are packages etc and sometimes I need to give refunds, I’m sure there are other customers who sell more than t-shirts out there. I considered buying this and then when I read this I was disheartened by this platform, yet again.

It’s been an issue that if one of my customers wants me to sign them up for something or charge their card on file I can’t do that. To have the possibility of this option only to find out that it doesn’t work for pretty much everything and the tax issue - which STILL doesn’t work - at all - this is outrageous.

I’ve had several conversations with the excellent customer service and tech reps at Wix who are also befuddled at the limitations of the platform. I’ve been with wix since 2016 and keep hoping for evolution, it’s taken 6 years to get gift certificates and I can’t even sell them from the admin side of the platform.

Are there any tech developers out there that have any good reason why this is limited on a level that makes no sense?
