Creating database but not allowing me to save

Please make sure that the “Update Permissions” is set properly as explained here .
Should the issue persists, please send us the site URL, the page name and the DB collection name so that we can check it on our end.

I have a similar problem. I need to work with more than one database window in the editor so that I can populate them properly in a quick and easy manner.
It’s not as fast as I’d like to be able to… like copy paste content in the field column, but at least it permits me to NOT have to always click from one databse to the other everytime I want to add something into one.
Anyway, the point here is NOT that I use many databases, but more the stupid fact that no matter how many I have open… it EVEN happens when I only have one open, there seems to be an outrageously long delay before I can close the tab or window containing the DB’s that I’ve worked on without losing my work! 
Until now, I have been unable to estimate the necessary lenght of time to be able to SAFELY close a TAB without losing my work, but I can tell that it’s pretty darn long!
When I want to close the tab or window, I always get this generic message from the browser telling me that my work may not be saved and to confirm if I really to close it or not.
Yesterday, I worked on a few DB’s, saving regularly, saved and stopped working on them for a few hours without touching them, and when I wanted to close them, I STILL got the message that my work may have not been saved.
Message to wix deciders : COME ONE! WAKE UP PEOPLE! If your servers can’t support our needs, we’ll have to find elsewhere!
So in a nutshell : How to fix my problem of VERY long delays before being able to close a tab or window where a SAVED database is opened in the editor, WITHOUT losing my work.

Do you try to update multiple DB collections at the same time? If this is what you were referring, I’m afraid that it’s impossible. Note that you can import the content as explained here and here .
If this is not what you were referring, please send us a video of the issue using screencast . Simply recreate the issue while recording the steps. Add the screencast.com URL to your response.

When I say I have many DB’s opened at the same time, it’s just to save some time from having to click on each individually to enter the content to populate them. but I DO save after each insertion.
What do you prefer? :
- clcik db1, scroll down to where you need to enter content, wait 2 seconds after darn buffer every 50 lines, enter content, save, repeat process for next DB
OR
- Have DB’s 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, opened simultaneously have only ONCE to wait after buffer because you only scroll down ONCE to where you need to enter content, enter content in DB 1 window, save, enter content in DB 2 window, save, enter content in DB 3 window, save, and so on…
But don’t forget that it ALSO happens sometimes when I only have ONE open.
If option #2 cannot work for whatever reason, wix better wake up and evolve the power of it’s servers :-S Web sites are getting more complex everyday. Servers need to support this.

When you open multiple tabs, you basically override the changes. Therefore, you need to update each collection at a time. As a general recommendation, when editing your site, use only one tab.

ok, so by saving everytime I do an entry, am I not supposed to by pass that problem?

It’s NOT a solution… even if I only have ONE WINDOW, conatining only ONE TAB : The editor… I STILL get the problem… I tested it over and over and over again, and in different browsers… that’s why I took a few days before writing back…
If ANYONE HIGHER UP can have a look at that. it would REALLY be appreciated.

Hi, i am having the issue, I am not able to save the “products” data field, after you go down on the field to select field type “Reference” the save button vanishes, then i scrolled down and selected the referenced collection field as products then no button to save so nothing gets saved. Can someone help me please?
