So, I finally used the SEO Patterns (LOVE)… My client finished submitting the site to google and I checked all the site pages on Google Search (eg. "site: https://www…com" ) and a lot of the page title’s show up on Google incorrectly. I double checked the editor SEO Settings and SEO Patterns in the SEO Tools tab of the dashboard, they appear correct both places.
But for example, for regular pages I have the SEO Pattern set to:
Page Name | Business Name | City, Country
But for example, the editor’s seo settings the title appears as (keeping my client’s name private but):
About | This is a Business Name | Florida, United States
But on Google the title appears as:
Florida … - About | This is a Business Name
- Why is the Florida at the front??
Then, of larger concern is the SEO Pattern for Wix Bookings, which I did not alter but is set to it’s default:
Service Name | Site Name
You can’t check the SEO settings for these pages in the editor but on Google each service (there are 4 total) appears as:
Service Page | Site Name
Or sometimes:
FL, US - Service Page | Site Name
So, regardless of my client’s 4 unique service names on google each Service Page title literally appears as “Service Page” -
Only the Home and Service page titles appear completely correct on google search. And the Contact page doesn’t appear at all (yes, the “show this page in search results” toggle is clicked on) and all the Service Pages say “Service Page” instead of the actual service name.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a Wix end glitch? Will it auto correct eventually or is there something I can do to fix? I am also unclear if these features are still considered in BETA - should I bother submitting a Support Ticket?
