Purchasing something ONLY after being accepted member of my sife

If I want someone to be able to purchase something only after I’ve accepted them as a member, how would I go about doing that?

Easy, set a store to members only.
I have product pages behind a plan only, so only paid subscribers have access to certain items.

I am bringing this topic to top again 2 1/2 years later. This needs to be addressed. A new visitor to my website who wants to purchase from my sales page should NOT have to become a member first, but rather once they purchase. These added steps of having to join as a member, check their email, set up their password and THEN purchase is clunky and slows the sales process.

PLEASE— is this in the queue to update and make it easier for guests on a website to purchase FIRST AND THEN join as a member?
