Rendering Issues

For some reason unknown to me, the rendering of elements on my website just started doing very strange things. I’m using google chrome, (and have for months) and suddenly my elements started appearing with mysterious gaps. Ex:

The areas crosshatched red here are the gaps that formed that should not be there. I collapsed elements in those places and confirmed they were collapsed by checking the “collapsed” property. The url of that page is https://www.offerreddy.com/my-saved-homes?listingId=b1bc8e47-f907-4cba-b688-f4f1d94bf2e3&step=pandS

Also, I just opened my website in internet explorer to see if the issue was present there, and it is…along with several other rendering issues. For example, my menus are way out of position:

Correct placement: (as seen in chrome)

Please help me figure this rendering problem out!

Thanks,
Eric

If anyone knows anything about this issue please comment. It is immensely frustrating.

Update - the rendering is correct in the editor preview, but not the live site.

Please describe how to reproduce the scenario in the Editor so we can evaluate.

Thank you for getting back to me Yisrael. The issue is not present in the editor. I have not been able to produce it in the editor preview and it works flawlessly there. The issue ONLY exists on the live site. I already tried clearing my cache and saving re-publishing the site, that did not work. It’s very strange. I have been using wix for a long time now and never seen an issue quite like this.

@ecurtiss81 How does it render in other browsers? I want to send this to QA for evaluation, and I can use as much information as possible.

@yisrael-wix I just checked a number of different browsers. In Chrome, Safari, and Firefox the behavior is the same. All three of these browsers show the gaps, which in my opinion is related to issues with collapsed elements not being rendered properly. In IE, the gaps are also present, as well as the menu being out of position. I only see the gaps issue on the My Saved Homes page and the My Listings page.

@yisrael-wix Any updates on this issue? Do you have the contact information of someone I can discuss this with? Thank you.

Is anyone working on this issue? This is majorly detrimental to the appearance of my site. I would appreciate any update, even if it’s “we’re working on it”.

This simple image explains a major part of the issue I have found. Imagine all 4 boxes below are positioned on a web page. When the orange box collapses, the green box SHOULD slide up to fill its place. This was the behavior that I experienced for nearly six months, and it was correct. Now, when the orange box collapses, the green box stays in position, acting as if the two blue boxes on either side are blocking it. This behavior just appeared one day as I was working on my site. This issue is impacting several elements on this page, not just these 4 boxes. Something seems to have changed regarding the rules for collapsing elements.

@ecurtiss81 I’m going to send this on to QA.

This doesn’t seem to be a Wix Code problem - more of a page rendering issue. QA will evaluate and refer to the appropriate team.

@yisrael-wix Thank you Yisrael. When can I expect an update? Can you forward me onto someone else to speak with?

@ecurtiss81 QA informs me that this is not a Wix Code problem. It is a rendering issue and these kind of things happen frequently when browsers are updated. You should contact the Wix support team . They will be better able to assist you regarding this specific problem.

@yisrael-wix Ok, I have a ticket in with them.
