Resizing header

Whenever I attempt to resize my header, the stretch arrow shows only a downward direction and increases the length of the header. How do I resolve this problem? I click inside the header area & then click on the arrow. Stretch comes up, but refers to elements. I have checked to make sure no hidden elements are preventing the stretch arrow from working.

Hi Shirley,
It seems like there’s an issue within the editor. In order to better assist you with it, please contact Wix Support team.

Best,
Tal.

I have had exactly the same issue. I can remove everything from the header, including all hidden elements. The stretch handle only allows me to make the header bigger but not smaller.

Has this problem been fixed as this is happening to me too

I am having this same issue… please help!

Same here. Please fix this issue, or at least give an update.

Same issue. Can make a header smaller or can adjustable smaller ?

Hello,

Same issue.

Since it’s happening for a year, would be great if you solved this!

This silly bug is still happening at the end of February 2019. Do Wix staff members read these forums? Do they realize that they are keeping their customers waiting on EASY fixes for months and years? Do they realize the WE DON’T CARE message that their inaction sends? Why should it take so long to a) respond at least once to all these customers’ concerns and b) fix the damned bug!!!

I had it.

the problem was that there was another photo under the header. Send the top layer under and remove the other photos.

that could help

and yes - the wix staff is lazy af not to fix this

Thank you for the solution Ville Kaituri. It worked.

Because some elements in your header are placed somewhere on the page by accident. They are preventing the header from resizing.

To find where they are:

go to layers at the very bottom of the toolbar (you may have to zoom out your browser window to see it), click on header in the pop-up menu, and delete all the unnecessary elements under Header section by selecting them and hitting delete button on keyboard.

Thanks for the insight rachel0929. Good explanation.

Tried all the above with no success. Fixed it by editing the header on a different page.
