RESOLVED: What happened to --> .distinct() since YESTERDAY ?

.distinct() do NOT work anymore, can anybody tell me whats going on ???

let dbDATA = await wixData.query("Team").distinct("anrede").then((res)=>{console.log(res)});                           console.log("dbDATA: ", dbDATA)

Yes n.provider is really not a function, because it does NOT exist anymore …
Just like cut off…

Where the hell is → “distinct”, cut off since yesterday ???
Now none of my CODE is running anymore.
How to work with such an environment???

Really annoying!!!

Why do you use await and .then() together?

Haha, sorry that was a quick copy-paste failure i think.:sweat_smile:
But fact is, that → distinct() do not work anymore.
Tested on several sites.

Edit: And also see getShema first time (it’s new?), or did i just never noticed it?

@russian-dima getShema is old but hasn’t been officially released.

@jonatandor35 Ok, found it just coincidentally. Whatever it is :sweat_smile:

@russian-dima .distinct() works for me.

@jonatandor35 But not for me, why? :rofl:
Yesterday was everything ok.

Also on this site it does not work and i did’t touch anything on that site since a few days…

Also some new looking ERRORS :sweat_smile:

Sorry, you’re right. It fails on live (worked only in preview).

@jonatandor35 ok.

The fix has been released and distinct() is back.

A new version of Wix Data client was previously GAed, it contained a bug that made it incompatible with our frontend-backend transport and caused distinct() to stop working when called from frontend code in Velo. Backend code was not affected.

Thanks a lot for the FIX! I already have created a workaround for the missed —> DISTINCT, but anyway → welcome back “DISTINCT” :grin:

And YES!

DISTINCT works again like it should…
Filter-Engine working again.

A little side-note.

Always when wix changes something in the environment, the user takes the risk while trying to debug own code (try to fix the issue), to destroy even all the code, instead of fix it (because the failure is wix-sided).

Such leck of quality can destroy sites.

Suggestion:
I already suggest the second or third time, to generate a “display window” directly in the Wix-Editor → to show people every (for the user important) changement in the VELO-ENVIRONMENT.

This way the user would be noticed immediately if some UPDATES are on the way/in action/comming soon, or some current ERRORs, which are in debug-mode, or whatever.

Just a suggestion.

This would prevent a lot of HEADACHES for both sides —> WIX & USERS.:wink:

EDIT:

I see the first LIKE (from a user) just after a few seconds. Seems to be a known issue.

What about to change something? —> Time for REVOLUTION :grin::grin::sweat_smile:

Everybody who have had already once such an situation, just like this post .

Or, should i generate new wish in the wishlist? But Wishlist is for VELO not for WIX, right?

Anyway —> VOTE (with a LIKE) for the suggested new EDITOR-FEATURE! :sunglasses::wink:
