I was able to add Product Search page on my website. I used the following video for reference.
I want to add a product search bar on header so that it appears on all my pages as it is the case with other E-commerce websites such as Amazon. Can anyone please guide me?
Just put the search bar into the header making sure that it says attach to header and it will appear on all pages.
However, if it is related to the repeater display, as like in the youtube video that you have posted, then you can’t use it on all pages as it will only relate to the one page that your repeater is on that displays your results.
@hamidrazawasim sorry I forgot to come back and let you know how it worked out. I ended up going with an app that was available in the wix apps in the editor. I pay $4.99 a month to use it and it has been working wonderfully ever since. The app is Xisearch , easy to install and set up. you can check it out on my site www.oddballartco.com if you want. hopefully you have found something good already by now, sorry again that I forgot to come back here.
@givemeawhisky : Thank you for your reply. In my case, the search bar is related to the repeater display. Though, I am fine implementing another code if it helps me get the search bar on all my pages. Kindly let me know if you have the link to such code or steps that I can follow.
@oddballart : Thanks a lot for mentioning the Xisearch app. I have added the XiSearchApp on my website. It seems to cover all my requirements. I will test it for few more days though.
@oddballart : The search works fine on all the pages except on Home page of my mobile website. I checked your website on mobile and it works fine but did you face similar issue at the time you had added the app? If yes, how did you fix it.
Hi there. I am looking to add a search feature to my website that allows the user to select multiple search categories at the same time so as to filter their search. I am using a template from Wix and I don’t know how to code.
Can anyone please assist as I am hopeless. The site is for a car dealership so I want to be able to search: “Make & Model, Price, Used/New, Mileage, Year, Manual/Auto” etc. Such search bars are used on every car dealership website.
