Selling a group ticket

We need to be able to sell tickets to a scavenger hunt style game. The games take place on specific dates and we can host 10 groups at each event. Each group can have 2-6 players (size) and the cost of each group is based on the number of players (price). We also need to show how many groups are still available per date. – The problem is that Wix inventory has to be managed based on size/price, but that would potentially allow more than 10 groups to be sold per date. – Another possible solution would be to sell the groups in two parts, first you buy a group # (ex, #1, #2, #3#10) which only have an inventory of 1 each, then you buy the number of players. So if a team of two costs $70, you could buy Team #1 for $50 and then a two player team for $20. In order for this to work, we would need to require buying one of each type of item.
We have tried calling Wix support a couple of times with the end result being that they cannot support our requirements at this time.
Can anyone suggest a solution? We have no coding experience.
Thank you

Do your group members usually book together or know each other? If so, could you possibly count each booking slot as a group with a set price and in your booking form ask, “how many people are in your group”? In this scenario, you would have 10 booking slots, 1 for each group.

Hi Bark Academy, thank you for your question. The members of each group would know each other but because each group could be made up of a different number of players, we can’t charge the same price for each group. For example, group #1 has 2 players $80, group #2 has 6 players $210, group #3 has 2 players… to group #10. The members of group #1 would not pay $40 each, one of them would buy group #1 and pay the total $80.

You could require a deposit upon booking (example: $40-$50) that will hold the slot and let the group pay the remainder upon arrival. To adjust the price, perhaps you could use your marketing tools and set up coupon codes based on the amount. (Example: 6 people at $40 = $240 and a coupon code would discount the price to $210). Just my thoughts and I know very little! LOL

We thought about the split payment option and that may end up being the way we have to do it, but we would prefer to minimize the manual processing. We also tried coupon codes but those are applied at checkout and people would probably be confused by the process. Imagine someone who wants to buy a group of 2, expecting $80 and seeing $240 in their shopping cart.
: ) We appreciate your suggestions!
