In wix studio
I would like a store / gallery page where clients can add the photos they want to a basket and then buy them.
So far it seems I would have to add hundreds of products individually, with individual file uploads, or link each individually.
Using the product csv file doesn’t work for digital files.
I understand that wix had this worked out in 2024, but removed it. Am I missing something that replaced the old system?

You are not missing a Wix Stores setting. Wix removed the purpose-built Wix Art Store and Wix Photo Albums Store, and the standard Wix Stores CSV importer still does not support digital products.
However, Wix Studio now has a newer replacement that should suit this project: CMS Catalog Collections.
Yes, you’re not missing anything. Wix’s current digital product setup makes this difficult for large photo galleries.
For hundreds of images, I’d look at a Wix CMS + Velo solution where the photos are managed as a database/gallery, clients can select multiple images into a basket, and the selected files are handled through checkout/downloads without creating every image as a separate product manually.
