setting up my login page profile

Hi there!

I just want to ask how to fix my problem regarding on my login page.

I watched and followed a tutorial on how to make database and a login page, here’s what I have done following the tutorial, I did not mean to say it is wrong but I think I lack of something that I cannot decode on myself and I have a hard time looking since I am not sure what it is.

Here is what I did:

  • Database collection
  • A pagecontent where there is:

First Name
Last Name
Email
Upload Profile
About Me

This page is connected to my database which I did right

  • I made a dynamic page wherein it will show the content that I will write from the page content I mentioned above. If I will not write information on that page content, my dynamic page will be blank.

After I created a database, a page and a dynamic page, I, then created the login/logout page using codes.

My concern is this, once I click on my profile, instead of going to my dynamic page, it should be on my page content. Once I put information on that page, then it will show my dynamic page.
How can I, or what should I do with that?

Yes so what tutorial did you use then, put a link so we know might help.

Do you actually mean that you have setup a members profile like in this tutorial here where you create a separate dataset and use that dataset to save all your site member’s profile and update profile inserts.

This is one of the link that I watched and followed. This is from wix training academy.

I followed everything from that link. I got a problem when I tried connecting them in my website. :thinking: Though they seems working but theres something that needs to be done or remove.

I will watch the link you gave me and check everything.

That video from Michael is all about using the tutorial that I linked to in my reply.

You can change the profile page to whatever inputs you want, you don’t need to keep same as tutorial.

Plus note that Michael is the same as Nayeli and are both Wix Experts with their own websites offering helpful guides and videos etc.

They are both good to use, however note that if you have issues with their code examples then it is always best to try to contact them first about it, as it maybe code specific to them.

However for this one it is just using the Wix tutorial so you just need to go through the tutorial step by step and you should be fine.
