The thing is, I have a website built on Editor X, and I’m undecided whether to pay for an Editor X plan or wait for Wix Studio to be released, so I can transfer the site and pay for a Wix Studio plan.

Great question!
In a few months, Editor X sites will be migrated to Wix Studio. If you’re in need of a site right now, perhaps Editor X is the way to go.
Either way, when you migrate a site to Wix Studio, you’ll be able to reassign a regular or Editor X plan to your Studio site and get remaining credit for your new plan.
