I have a grid of Containers on a page, and I want to shrink the size of these containers. I attached an image below. I am using the original Wix editor. I CAN increase the size of the containers, but I can not shrink them. There is too much black empty space and I want to make them smaller. I am guessing it has something to do with the coding.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Of course you can shrink them. Also without any coding.
All you have to do, is to search for an hidden elements, which do not allow you to shrink the container. It could be probably a black text, which is unvisible for your eyes, because your background is also BLACK!
Try to make a selection of all elements/objects at once, with your mouse.
Press the left button of your mouse and make a selection of the whole container.
All selectd elements now should be visible by a blue bordering.
You probably have to do it for all 3-Containers. I am sure you will find the problem.
Facing same issue. The Issue occurred in list thing! The Container just won’t shrink. We have nothing beneath. Already checked selecting and everything.
I had the same problem but fixed it by opening the layers palette under TOOLS and drill down to the strip and all the elements in it-- noticed the space was somehow being held by HOVER content form my desktop version. I deleted that content (didn’t require it for the mobile version) and then was able to scale the strip/column vertically. This did not affect my desktop version.
Thank you for your post it was very useful. After going to the layers icon I realized I could not shrink because my hoover button was in the way. By clicking on the hoover button (have to go to container first) in this layer menu you can then move the hoover button up and out of the way to enable you to drag the bottom of the container up i.e. shrink
