Hey
I rename the savings in the Site History so I can know which versions I save. I do this manually but when I came back today and looked in Site History all names where gone?
Hi Andreas,
Sorry for the inconvenience, Weâll inspect that in our end.
Can you please share a link to the site/editor?
Roi.
Canât give you the link here cuz itâs in dev. I can send it to you on Whatsapp or email?
Only authorized wix staff can access the editorâs link.
Hi Andreas,
Iâm still trying to reproduce it, but unfortunately unsuccessfully.
Roi.
Here are the STEPS TO REPRODUCE this issue consistently:
- in Site History, rename a revision, pressing Enter to finish. New name is accepted.
- click on the circled arrow (>) beside another revision, and the Old name comes back!
WORK-AROUND:
To ensure the new name is saved do this:
- in Site History, rename a revision (optionally pressing Enter to finish)
- click on Editor Xâs back arrow â to go âBack to Dashboardâ (not browserâs back arrow)
- click on âSite Historyâ, and see New name is still there as expected.
Since this is an old issue, no one else has reported the same problem, and there is a work around, this might be considered a low priority issue. But on the other hand, since this issue has existed a long time, it is a clear issue with the Editor X tool, and is a usability irritation for those of us who want to keep our History clearly organized (just as Academy X tells of the Best Practice to organize and rename Sections as we go in https://www.editorx.com/academy/courses/editor-x-101-course 2:15-2:30), I ask that you would please fix this issue. Thank you for considering this .
