Site Owner Transfer

When I accepted ownership of a client’s site for a web design project, it asked me for payment info for the recurring premium payments so I added my business card. When I transfer ownership back to my client, will they be prompted to enter their payment info in place of mine? I don’t want to get charged for their recurring payments but I also don’t want to have to call every client during transfer to input their credit card info.

It will ask client for their credit card info when you transfer it back. Hopefully it isn’t about to renew…For a redesign, I typically have client make a copy of their website and send me the copy (or I get their login and do it myself). Then I redesign, transfer the site to them and connect the new site to their premium package. Unless they use Apps that will lose connection, then I work in the live site.

This is a great tip! I’ll start having my clients send me a non-premium copy and have me be the owner of it instead.
