We searched the forum and couldn’t find suggestions for creating a sliding column effect in either the Wix Editor or Editor X. We are trying to recreate the effect on the home page of this site: https://www.idbny.com.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in a advance.
Have you tried using a container box and then adding a hover effect? It could give you something similar depending how you set it up
So smart. Yes, that was our experiment for tomorrow. We will try that and see if it does what we need. Thanks so much, Shannah.
Awesome! You are most welcome!
Update - We tried the various hover effects and a rollover plugin to see if we could approximate. Although these provide some cool and interesting potential workarounds, we couldn’t quite mimic the sliding columns (or slide over columns?) effect seen in the site the client liked.
This was a great suggestion but we’re not sure if the client will appreciate the workarounds. In addition, they were looking for a click and slide action rather than hover. Jumping to an anchor is another workaround and will scroll quickly but it’s not quite the same as a column sliding out of the way but the focus not moving.
I wonder if there’s a Velo onkeypress function that allows a column or container to hide when clicked? Then it might just disappear? Anyone tried using this code before?
Thanks again for the help!
