Hi, seamus_foley !!
Are you saying that the space between some content and other content appears twice as wide on the live site as it does in the editor? If so, try “stacking” the content together first. Hold down the Shift key, select both (or multiple) pieces of content, and choose “Stack.” Stacking will help define the spacing between content more consistently, making the display more stable.
Hi, Thanks so much for your reply. No has just got to do with the written text.
There appears to be large gaps between words, but in editor its not there.
Would be great to fix as making my site look quiet unprofessional with the large gaps.
Thanks for all your help.
Ah, I apologize.
I misunderstood because I’m reading posts with an automatic English-to-Japanese translation. By “spaces between words,” do you mean something like “H E L L O,” where there are evenly spaced gaps between letters? Or is it more like random spacing between words? I’m not a Wix staff member, so I can’t easily determine if it’s a bug, but since text elements are a core function of Wix, a bug seems unlikely at this point.
Wix Studio should have a feature to adjust word spacing, so as a first step, it might be worth exploring that. (You can select the text element, then look for the option in the right-hand menu, you should find it quickly. If that setting has a high value, try resetting it to “0.” But, if there are no issues in the editor display, though, this parameter may not be the cause…)
Additionally, if the text appears differently in the editor display than on the live site, there might be a CSS style unintentionally applied to the text element. If you’re using custom elements, global.css
, or custom code in the site’s header, especially recently added, it’s worth checking those areas. Though unlikely, a Wix app or browser extension could also be influencing the display, so if you recently installed any, try disabling them temporarily to test.
