# Stacking text boxes in a cell that is split vertically

**Question:**  
When I split a cell vertically so that there are multiple columns, I can’t stack the text boxes in the left-most column. What should I do?

**What are you trying to achieve:**  
Stacking text boxes in a cell that is split vertically.

**What have you already tried:**  
Normally I click on one text box, hold shift, click the other text boxes, and then click ‘stack’. In the left-most column though I can only click on one text box. When I hold shift and hover over the other text boxes they aren’t clickable.
