On a previous project that I worked on, we used OTP tokens on servers to secure access to the resource. At that time, we did not consider the built-in features but chose between Google Authenticator and 2fa platform with additional functionality and services. The choice fell on 2fa service because of the ability to configure extensive parameters, in addition, we preferred to use TOPT tokens and a higher level of protection for the administration. 2fa significantly improves the security of the service, so I always implement this feature in my work and recommend it to others.
