Sometimes I think I go crazy… lol.
So I would like to have your opinion on my event just to know if it’s normal and how to correct the issue. Here it comes…
So I am the owner of a website I created.
I added roles and permissions for someone to my site and she got an email invitation. Let’s say email was abc@gmail.com
She already had an account with wix but for her other gmail account. Let’s say def@gmail.com
When she got the email at her emailadres abc@gmail.com she clicked on the link. As she didn’t have an wix account for abc@gmail.com, she needed to create a new one, but she didn’t… (Ok mistake on her account)
She thought she could use her def@gmail.com account. So she logged in with that emailadres. After that she contacted me to say there was nothing to see in her wix account. At that time she didn’t tell me she used her def@gmail.com account to log in.
So I got a look at the roles and permissions because I was searching for the reason and saw that there was another emailadres mentioned to the roles and permissions…
I was astonished as I didn’t invite def@gmail.com to my site but abc@gmail.com, so I asked her with which account she logged in…
That’s when everything was cleared out…
Now I would think that it wouldn’t be possible to get the permissions accepted on my website as she didn’t log in with the correct emailadres… Right???
Euhm no…
So if ever the email send to someone for accepting permissions and roles is intercepted by someone else, they can get access to your site as in the permissions and roles the email is changed to the one logging in…
Is this normal???
Hope I explained it correctly as I’m Dutch speaking and have to translate everything … lol
Thanks anyway for any reply and/or thoughts on the fact.
