Wouldn´t it be a nice idea to have a Read This First post on the top of this Forum, where you could provide answers to the most frequently asked question? Would prob. save a lot of time.
My suggestions to put into this list:
1)you can´t add Javascript in the Wix Editor (no-DOM access, etc)
2)field values that you prepare in code will not be saved to the collection, you have to use setFieldValue()
3)if something runs in Preview Mode, but not in Published, check this, this and that

I think that the search function that sits in the header should auto trigger when people write their subject in creating a new post in a from the right hand side slide out window. A lot of the questions can be found quicker using that search instead of the “built-in-the-forum” search and it also searches articles, examples and videos. It is a superior search experience.
