Wix Studio has been a MAJOR disappointment. My first use, the program ate my custom code, not just on the current version but on all backup versions. It was gonzo. Horrible.
This time I saved everything on my VS Code. I’m not wasting my time on that attempt at a knockoff. This time the program reset all of my named variables. Wiped them clean, again on EVERY single backup.
This program is not ready for prime-time. I will not and do not recommend that anyone use it until these basic blunders are fixed. It’s easy to release substandard products when you’re credibility isn’t the one the line. We take most of the hits. Customer service is pretty much useless. They stare like deer in the headlights. The best they can do is promise to raise it to the ‘developers’ (yeah - six months to get anywhere on that). Until then or forever, we take the hits from out clients. They don’t see Wix. They see us. They read the hype and believe it. We’re left to fill in the fine print.
If you use custom coding AT all, please check Studio by doing a test. I hope your experience was better than mine.
RE: Wix, please don’t crow your launch events about a product that pretty much shaky at best. I will not recommend this to any of my clients until it improves. You hype all these features that cannot reliably be delivered.
