The cart page really need some love and attention. Actually, everything about the cart page needs to be more customizable. From the second a client adds a product, it feels very generic and the user experience is not manageable. Here are some pictures of what I’m talking about :
I wish we could have a little bit more control over the design elements of the cart to checkout process. Is this something that Editor X is considering working on in the near future?
For example, on the mobile view, when you add an item to your cart, you see 2 CHECKOUT buttons appear… and it sure doesn’t seem necessary. It actually feels a bit tacky.
Another example is when a customer is on his/her way to checkout and filling out information, the page turns extremely generic, almost as if the customer was redirected onto another website to complete transactions.
All of this writing is to bring attention and hopefully some awareness to the fact that the lack of customization of the entire “cart to checkout” process is a dealbreaker to a lot of businesses that are trying to give a top-of-the-line online experience to their customers but can’t fully achieve that due to design restrictions on Editor X.
