What is the use of "Only Animate First Time"?

Hey,

Can someone please explain to me what does the “Only Animate First Time” within the animation settings does?

Thanks

Hi @nived2033 ,

The ’ Only animate first time ’ feature is used to animate elements only for the first time when you load a website. When this feature is turned off, elements animate every single time you visit the page. Whereas when this feature is turned on, elements animate only for the first time. If you click a button or a link and navigate to a different page in the website, the elements will not animate when you come back to the previous page. For example, a website’s homepage. You use animations to grab the visitor’s attention when he visits the site for the first time. Let’s say if he goes to the Shop page. After buying something, when the visitor navigates back to the homepage, you usually won’t want the animations to play again and again. The animations will only be played if the user reloads the site.

Here’s an example so you can better understand how it works:

Video: 1 ( Only animate first time is turned OFF)

In the above video, you can see that the animation keeps on playing every single time, even when the user navigates to another page and comes back to the previous page.

Video: 2 ( Only animate first time is turned ON)

In this video, you can see that the animation plays for the very first time when the site loads. When you navigate to another page and then come back on the previous page, the animation is no longer played.

So this is how the ‘Only animate first time’ feature works.
Hope this helps! (:

I’m having problems with my menu bar. I want my menu bar to be animated the first time somebody goes on the site. My problem is that when I switch to another page, my menu bar is just no longer there. The ‘‘Only animate first time’’ setting is locked for me to ‘‘enabled’’.
