Currently I’m connecting to an external DB and querying data. The only way I could get it working was to allow all connections % to connect to the DB. How can I limit the connections to only wix.com? I don’t know what URL to use?

Seems to me that the best solution would involve some sort of authentication protocol. This isn’t a Wix or Wix Code issue. You will need to discuss this issue with the supplier of your external DB.

I guess my understanding is I just need to restrict access to only certain IP addresses. For example, if I had an EC2 instance running my website, on my DB I would only allow that EC2 IP address connect to the DB. I know how to do this in the DB settings.
I just don’t know what IP or website to put for Wix since that is all behind the scenes for a Wix user. Does that make sense? Am I understanding things correctly?
You understand correctly. As you stated, “it’s all behind the scenes”. The fact is, the Wix cloud infrastructure is quite complex, and quite frankly, it’s magic. However, that does mean that much is “hidden” from the user. The reason for this is for security, stability, control, and the system guys wold be bored otherwise.
