The biggest challenge I have with website clients is getting them to understand that a website is not a magic bullet. A website is one tool in your marketing arsenal and it should be used in conjunction with other marketing channels to get the most benefit.
Too often, clients want a website and expect it to magically bring in hordes of new customers without any effort on their part. They’re surprised when I tell them that they need to do things like create compelling content, generate links back to their site, and participate in social media in order to get the most out of their website.
A good website will help you reach your business goals, but it won’t achieve them by itself - you have to put in some work too
