When will Wix/ Editorx support .avif image files

.avif files are emerging as the new industry standard for delivering high quality images across the web fast and efficiently. When will wix and editor x introduce this important new capability? Currently wix/editorx is very slow in rendering pages on the web for this reason. I have already placed a feature request but no response so far. Thank you.
