While signing an agreement with the client

Once we finish the web design and development work, we dedicate some time to handle the on-page SEOs (ofc with the help of Wix SEO wiz and bit of expertise) we clearly mention to our clients that we perform basic or local SEO on every wix sites we launch. The point is, one cannot assure that the website will keep up with the client’s expectations of things like brand recognition, more sales and profits, exposure, and the like. (Or do we need to assure them that their website is going to skyrocket and fullfill their every expectations?? )

So for the reason stated above, is it okay to include a specific clause in the Agreement?
Call it " Disclaimer of warranties “. just to be in the safer side, cos who knows, the client may start making statements like " launching a website was a bad investment”. Incase the website does not lead to their desired result(s).

Y’all thoughts on this shall be valued! Please take some time share your opinions. Regardless, much appreciated!

Our paperwork is quite detailed but we send an annotated brief/spec that outlines what it will and won’t do and this forms part of the contract documentation. Ongoing support for SEO and the like to stay relevant is listed as out of the contract but an optional extra as such. If they come back and state it’s not performing beyond our agreement then they’re reminded they didn’t take that out. Of course, we provide a lot of friendly advice, support and nudges periodically that this is something they might wish to review or we can do it at a price. Best, ESME Creative team.
