Why are Photo Albums image downloads low quality?

When clients are trying to download individual images from albums via the download button in the top left corner

the image downloads extremely pixelated (this is happening on a PC and an iPhone).

However, when downloading individual images directly from the Gallery via the download button that appears when hovering over an image in the Gallery (I tried to include an image for clarity but because I’m a new poster I’m only able to include one embedded photo) the images save normally – not pixelated.

I have already set individual downloads to allow High quality in the Album Download Settings.

I’ve been using Wix Photo Albums to share large volumes of images with clients for years and this is the first time an issue like this has popped up. How do I allow high resolution downloads for individual images at every download button? Why are the images downloading in such low quality?

I tried uploading jpgs without optimization but still not the quallity I’m looking for. Looks like Wix Studio auto-compresses every image too much. Is there a way to avoid it?

I have the exact same problem. I spoke to support and Wix is suppose to get back to me. I am thinking about changing to a different web hosting company all together.
