# Wix API Authentication

**Question:**  
I’m trying to get to grips with Wix API, specifically I’m looking to extract my product list and current quantity. However I’m getting stuck in that there seems to be no button to generate my secret key. I went through the wizard to create a headless app, then created a clientID. I’m starting to question if I’m correctly understanding how the Oauth flow works, any help greatly appreciated!

Hi Hannah,

If Wix Headless seems complicated, try using **http-functions** instead?  
You’ll find a lot of info and tutorials if you search for this.

And I believe this can be handled through http functions combined with elevated permissions. Try giving it a shot!
