So does this open our access into any bit of the Wix developed apps and some of their options as well? It does not seem so, but I figured I can ask directly to confirm.
For example, it might be beneficial if Wix booking data can also connect to the database we use. Perhaps this can be classified as as feature request if it is not currently possible.

This is indeed a feature request.
Could you please elaborate more and describe what you’re trying to build with the Wix Booking data.
Well, I was hoping I could get more control with elements and what they do. For example, I would love to be able to create a separate user profile page (which I have confirmed with your colleagues for my needs to be very much possible now with a bit of fiddling on Wix Code) in which I can show the user their past bookings via a database or api call of sorts to a text or table element of sorts. Right now, they have to be on the bookings page, then click on their profile on that page to see this. Which sort of defeats the purpose of trying to have a user profile/dashboard page where all their critical info and shortcuts could be found or at least easily linked to.
Or for example due to the very limited design options I get for the actual booking/checkout page of the app, if would be awesome if I can get buttons on custom designed pages to hook up directly to a calendar/reservation window of bookings app for that service instead of sending the user from that custom designed page to the generic bookings page, and have them select the service again there. Similar to this, one the user profile page instead of pulling past bookings data like I said above, I can place a button that directly links to their profile on the booking app and shows them their past or pending bookings. Things of this sort.
Use of wix booking “elements” in this case is not applicable. If you press back button on browser, Wix booking window/iframe goes back one step, bot the full Wix page. This results in a single service element, returning to the full default home or category page of services in the wix booking iframe, on the wix booking page and not on the custom or dynamic pages with much better design options. I know I am getting too detailed here, but this is to elaborate why I had this need in mind.
Basically, the same way Wix Code expands native Wix elements’ capabilities, can we also look into expanding (wix made) Apps functionalities within similar standardized scope or with considerations to needs such as above. I know this may be too much to ask though.
