Wix Editor - Need suggestions on redesign for navigation efficiency

I’m new using Wix and have created a website (laketoads.com) where I sell Lake inspired apparel - I need to redesign for easier navigation. I currently have a drop-down where users select state then select the applicable lake. Once they select the lake, then they see a short sleeve shirt, long sleeve shirt and a visor; however, I’m going to add a hoodie as well as a UPF shirt. Any suggestions on where I should start? I have many lakes for each state.

Also, while I’m working on the redesign, should I make a copy of the site’s design then later publish ‘over’ the current site?

You can revert your site to previous versions in any case, but it is indeed always safer to work on a copy

I would make it responsive so as they select the dropdown it will show the items in a repeater. Match the dropdown design to suit the site style you have with button.

Utilizing the dropdown though, if the user wants to change states, they have to go back to the homepage. Any ideas on how I should approach where the user has the option to change states/lakes on any page? Should the products be last for selection or first? State, lake, product type …or… product type, state, lake
