# wix-events-backend and Categories

Using wix-events-backend you can create a Wix Event, but how do you assign it to a Category ?  
I know you can do it manually, so why no option in the API function createEvent( ) ?

Similarly, I would like to be able to filter on an Event Category , but nothing in the API queryEvents( ) documentation indicates this is possible.
