I was pleasantly surprised after logging in to WiX on my new 11” iPad Pro that it works like the desktop unlike smaller tablets where it forces you on the mobile version in the mobile FF browser.
Even in mobile Chrome it works, less some weird cutoff of stuff on the right side of screen.
Now I’m curious if I can do web design on the iPad as well - that would be such a needed step forward!
I was then disappointed to find the download of orders on iPad instead of prompting to save the file to the iPad or Cloud drive in Firefox loads a blob string of what seems to be the CSV file (I do this weekly to tally them up).
Just curious if anyone has witnessed and solved this in a similar scenario? Maybe someone working with WiX data on a mobile device. And how to copy that data into a mobile file and save as CSV or something else as a workaround?
Hi bill, have you submitted a support request? Our team may need to take a closer look at this.
I have our solution. Right now, I can only do a mobile download where I get prompted by using Safari on iPad. Neither chrome nor FF will work. It’s probably something to do with the iOS ecosystem and saving of files access/security to the root file structure on iOS mobile. But IDK - this could be a follow up for WiX to investigate compatibility and portability. That’s up to WiX. Case logged. But for now I have my workaround.
Oddly enough, I found some restrictions in uploading media from the FF mobile browser, it disallows me to upload a file from any cloud storage connected folder EXCEPT the FF downloads folder. I keep my files on G-Drive. Workaround is to lift/shift files to/fro back and forth. Not ideal.
Will test safari for that soon. Since that oddly enough is the less restrictive browser
Thank you for the update.
