I am building a classic Wix website for a stamp dealer client and am just in the process of setting up the Wix Store. I have included a search bar on the site, but it is returning some strange results. For example, when I search for the word “slate” (as in the colour), all of the stamps which have the word “plate” or “plates” in their name or description are included in the results.
I’ve noticed there is an option to sort the results (which is by default “best match”), but I can’t see any way of controlling what results are actually returned (eg an exact match)? It seems odd to me that the word “plate” would come up in the search results for the word “slate”. In the world of stamps, there could be hundreds of stamps with the word “plate” as it refers to the printing process but I don’t want these to come up in the results when searching for “slate”.
Any thoughts?
