Hello. I wanted to introduce myself as a new Wix web designer and ask about preferred practice for maintaining ownership or transferring client websites. It seems from a few threads I read that many designers like to build the website, then transfer to the client and setup a collaborator role for themselves. I’m leaning toward keeping the client sites under my own Wix account when appropriate, then bill the client monthly for my work and any subscription fees. Anyone see downsides to this approach? I have an opportunity for a WIX partner who would be interested in building single page sites. These are straightforward simple sites. My clients choose from 12 templates that are already pre-designed. They submit their information on a form and it pretty much means you cut and paste their content into the templates. Little bit of design work nothing extensive. For reference I can usually crank the sites out in 1 to 2 hours at most. Looking for a partner who wants to make a little easy money on the side with no long-term need to maintain the sites. Hi guys, I optimize my sites, in order to be found on Google but sometimes, not often, I got stuck in the point 5, where it says ‘Optimize the homepage text’. Over the course of a several months, one of our marketing clients has had a booking error causing their customers to get stuck in the checkout phase of the process. The issue is that WIX checkout is TAKING the customer’s money, but their booking does not appear on the booking calendar. Has anyone else had this issue? It’s a huge deal considering our client is a multi-million dollar company, and their clients are booking a service WITHOUT it showing up on WIX. Therefore, there are double bookings, and we can’t serve them. We only find out about it when the customer shows up or emails us about their upcoming service. I’ve reached out to WIX several times about this. Their answer is that their service is getting stuck in the check-out process. Hi, please can anyone give me any advice on the best way to manage the completion of a client’s website? Is the best practice to:- Ask the client to open a Wix account, then transfer the site to them (keeping yourself as an admin). Then get the client to purchase the Premium Plan. Keep the ‘new’ website in your Wix account and pay the Premium Plan yourself, then charge the client annually (or monthly) How do other independent web designers manage the process? Wix has implemented another great project: Wix Learn A website where you can train, and this, with videos made by Wix itself. For exemple: Go to a subject and choose " Courses " I wanted to get started on Velo, and now is done :slight\_smile: It’s free for every personn who now the link :wink: And Wix has also set up a certification system to validate your skills For now it only works on accessibility and Velo, but soon others will arrive (like SEO = my passion) I find it really wonderful to be able to make his courses available online.
