How can I AB test blog posts stored in the collection database – so that some are alterntives but appear only once and consistently for 50% (or X% per user, e.g.33% if there are three versions for AB testing)
Please do not spam the forums
Hi Dean,
Is this the incorrect forum to post this?
If yes, which is the right forum to use?
thank you,
Daniel
Hey Daniel. it is the correct forum, my message was rather about creating multiple posts for the same question, perhaps I should’ve elaborated
Thanks.
I was unsure where to post – first i posed in one, then the other which was accessed via the backend blog collection UI - so, I thought it might be more fitting.
To the matter – are you aware of ready to use AB testing capabilties for blog posts provided by vanilla wix?
thank you,
Dan
I see, didn’t even realize they were in two different forum categories
As for AB testing, I’m not sure I entirely understand what it is you are trying to do
Do you want to have different versions of the Blog Post page, or of the posts themselves? And you want visitors to randomly get to one of the versions?
Right.
I want to write several versions for each blog post.
A blog post appears – as far as i can tell in three locations:
a) the blog posted itself with its own URL
b) a list of blog posts available when going to a “blog” page
c) a list of newest or featured blog posts – on the front page
Per user I want to have one of the versions consistently displayed across all locations.
If i write, say 4 version of the same blog post then each user has a 1 in 4 change to get one of the blog post.
There would be a memory across visits – a user (IP address?) would see the same blog post variant, for, say, x number of days.
The overall objective is to collect “conversion” relevant metrics, such as how long a user spend on the post, and perhaps whether a call for action followed and the like.
