Ability to enable autocomplete on mobile for Wix forms

  • The situation: I manage a website for booking private and commercial flights. This site has a Wix form with a dropdown list containing a little over 10,000 IATA airports worldwide. On a PC, the user can type and find the airport quickly. On mobile, they have to scroll through the entire list without being able to type in the field to speed things up.

  • The request: Can you ENABLE AUTOCOMPLETE ON MOBILE for Wix forms?

  • The workaround in the meantime: It’s to invite users to activate the desktop version on their mobile browser (they can then use autocomplete, but it’s not very user-friendly and we lose the benefit of mobile responsiveness).

Are you open to creating a Custom form instead of using APP? That can work as a solution to this.

I don’t understand why Wix doesn’t do anything for their own app. It is absolutly not user-friendly as it is right now. It took me a lot of time to set up the home page…

Sorry about that…

May you check if there is an option to export the CMS collection of your form(it’s in CMS>App Collection>Form) as CSV file.

If there is, you can easily set up the custom form. I can help you set that up…
