Let me begin by saying I am not a coder, but I am building sites using Wix. (So, please be gentle.) I am looking for some advice on how to handle a particular feature I am trying to resolve.
I am building a summer camp registration and payment system for a school. I am using the Wix Stores app. Each week of summer camp can be ordered individually or in packages, and that’s not an issue. However, every customer has to pay a one-time registration fee, whether they order 1 week or all the weeks. I can add a flat fee to the checkout, but that will add it every time, for any order, whether it is a new customer or not. The only solution I could think of is to make “Registration” a product, and the customer has to add it to their cart in order for it be included in the checkout. The obvious problem there is, somebody could go through and sign-up for different weeks of camp, and not add “Registration” and not pay the fee. This would require manual double checking with every order and making sure it was paid. That’s not ideal, but it is where I am right now.
I have suggested to build in the registration fee to the price of the camp, but that was shot down.
Any suggestions or advice?
