Hi all so Iโve now created several basic sites but my latest requires a couple of additional features which I have tried to do but have so far been unsuccessful. My client has a raffle company, cars, motorbikes, quad bikes etc, they raffle tickets off for a chance to win one of these items. The client requires that a question is asked before the raffle tickets can be purchased and also for them to be able to select their own ticket number? Any ideas how the hell I do this please? X thank you in advance and I look forward to speaking to one of you lovely people soon xx
This sounds like a digital good. You might could make a form and if they fill it out they get an email with a link to stores. In stores you could sell a digital good (raffle ticket).
I would be careful with raffles; that might be considered gambling in some areas. It might be prudent to check with a legal professional.
Hi Brett, thank you for this, and yes itโs a fine line this is why a question needs to be asked first apparently as otherwise it would count as lottery?
Thatโs a legal question, and the legal definition of a lottery might be defined differently in different areas. In my mind, yes, it very well might could be considered a lottery - but I am no legal professional and canโt advise you as such. I would reach out to local entity and ask.
Thank you Brett, here in the uk there are lots of sites like this, Iโve just now got to figure out how they do the buying bit and implement it an example site is this:
