I have used repeaters extensively (an understatement) and the past few weeks they have been incredibly frustrating and not acting properly.
Below is a simple example. If you look at the attached screenshot you will see header text overlapping the text below it. It is not pushing the text below it down. But not only that, if I try to extend the repeater containers down they simply snap back up and make all of my text effectively “locked” so that I can’t make any adjustments.
This is only one simple example of a number of issues I’ve been having with repeaters lately.
Note: I have repeaters that pull content from databases and other repeaters that I manually add content.
@sheyla Because this was entirely limiting my ability to go live with a site today I reached out to support. I’ve been on the line with them for over an hour and they have been working on this with me as they are able to recreate my issues.
I’m on hold now, but will post back once I have more information.
I might just be crazy! I have several issues with repeaters and a couple of them have been escalated, but there is still one that I’m having and support told me that my problem is a non-problem and that the repeater is acting normally. I still don’t agree and wanted to get the opinion of my fellow partners.
I’ve attached two images. Example 1 is how repeaters have always worked for me. No matter the length of the last text box I have always been able to add white space underneath.
However, Example 2 shows my problem. Currently, if I use my mouse to expand the container box to add white space and then let go of the mouse button, the container box snaps up to the bottom of the last text box. I am being told this is the correct behavior, but I have multiple sites where I have added space under the last text box.
@sheyla I don’t think the issue is resolved…or at least it’s back. I’m having the same issues.
One temporary, kind-of workaround is to hide the repeater (in mobile) and then re-show it. However, this only gets the repeater back to its original state and I’m still unable to modify.
This has not been fixed properly, better than before but not 100%. The problem still persists sometime on mobile editor. I think its only a matter of time before it breaks again to a point where we are unable to work with it.
As a workaround insert a transparent box to act a a " pillar " to keep the repeater height from collapsing but honestly the repeater needs some serious attention otherwise this will keep happening.
