Arrows in slideshow don't respond

On the front page, there is a slideshow. This slideshow contains 4 slides and each individual slide works as an internal link.
However, the arrows in the sides of the slideshow won’t work. I have used this code to make the links:

How do I make the arrows work while the slides are still individual links?
