Hi everyone! My site is for our nonprofit which aims to teach STEM to underserved elementary school students. Due to the pandemic, we’d like to move programming to our site. I’d like to autoplay background music on my site, and would like for it to stop playing the music when students click to watch the video. I tried to use the wix music player which did autoplay but didn’t stop playing when I clicked on the video, then I tried to use a music video for the background music which won’t autoplay.
Does anyone know of a work around or coding I could put in to fix this issue? Thanks so much in advance!!
First of all many browsers don’t allow autoplay (most mobile devices won’t support it, and maybe also the newest browser versions for desktop).
Anyway, it’s hard to understand from your question what video player you used and what exactly is the planned flow. Please elaborate.
Hi J.D., thanks for your comment! Apologies for the confusing wording, I’m not great with this stuff. I’ve used the wix video player and am trying to also use the wix audio player. I’d like for the following flow: page loads>audio plays>video clicked on>audio player stops. To explain alternatively, I want the wix audio player to autoplay when the website page loads, but stop playing when the wix video player is clicked on. I don’t care about the format/look of the audio player so long as it autoplays and stops playing when a video is playing. Let me know if this makes better sense!
