AUTOSAVE and returning to previously published versions

I am trying to run my website while I am busy growing my local business. I feel like I am drowning sometimes. When I am editing my site, changes are autosaved. I also see that I SHOULD have to click publish before they are in effect, but that’s not my experience. For example, just now I was trying to move to images further apart. One image disappeared and I see nothing but a gray box. The back button is not working to undo the change. Since I did not click “publish” it seems it should not be permanent. I am unable to find my photo, and when I completely close my wax and reopen, still the gray box.

How can I make changes less permanent?? This is not the first time that my back button does not seem to work . Since my business is largely word of mouth, it does not seem practical to spend a lot on web design. Can anyone help??

Hi, I feel your pain!
If I lost an item when I was first staring out with Editor X, I realised that I could find it in the ‘Layers’ menu. Try and find it in the list of items and hopefully it’ll appear. I also find the undo button hit & miss so you’re not alone there.
